University of East Anglia has announced Simon Wharmby postgraduate scholarship for home, EU and overseas applicants. This scholarship is available for student wishing to study a postgraduate taught programme in the School of Environmental Sciences. The Scholarship shall be awarded on a competitive basis and will become payable on completion of registration of the successful applicant. The value of the Scholarship shall be £3,000. The application deadline is 22 July, 2015.

What does it cover? 
The value of the scholarship shall be £3,000. 
Selection Criteria:
The Scholarship shall be awarded on a competitive basis and will become payable on completion of registration of the successful applicant. If two candidates are judged to be of sufficient and equal merit, the Scholarship may be divided. There shall be a maximum of two winners.
-Academic standing (level of qualification, content covered, grade 2:i or above obtained).
-Relevance of previous study to UEA course applied to.
-Previous experience relevant to the course applied to (evident from e.g. paid/unpaid work or hobbies or roles of responsibility held in clubs, societies, NGOs or professional organisations).
How to Apply: Applicants should read the scholarship’s terms and conditions carefully before submitting a statement of 500 words or more highlighting how they meet the selection criteria and the strengths they will bring to the course.
