Extending the success of 2012 to 2014 CommTECH Camp, in 2015 ITS International Office is holding the event again with new innovations. ITS offers three attractive programs which are CommTECH Camp Insight (2 – 10 February 2015), CommTECH Camp Highlight (24 August – 2 September 2015) and Customized Short Programs to accomodate the needs and the schedule of various international partners. ITS also provides numbers of full & partial scholarships for participants for those programs (please read the rules of the scholarship in the brochure)
CommTECH Camp is an opportunity for university students, academics, and professionals from all over the world to learn about community and global issues through a variety of fun activities. The program will include Indonesian language course, learning traditional music and dances, making your own batik and for sure tasting delicious Indonesian food. The program also includes some visit to Surabaya Community, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and main tourist destinations in East Java.
The aim of the event is to facilitate a broad opportunity to better understand ITS's expertises and technology implementation in the society while visiting, discovering, and experiencing Indonesia's diverse heritage and culture. It will also open up an opportunity to exchange ideas and develop a mutual vision for the future of our global world.
The theme of the event is “Solving Local Problems with Global Knowledge”. Our organizing committee has been working hard to make these monumental events a truly memorable experience for all participants. The Registration is open:
from the 1st October 2014 until the 5th January 2015 for CommTECH Insight 2015
from the 1st April 2015 until the 5th July 2015 for CommTECH Highlight 2015
Note: Indonesian Students/Staffs, the participants of CommTECH 2012, 2013, 2014 and CommTECH Camp Insight 2015 are not allowed to apply for CommTECH Camp Highlight 2015.

In addition to CommTECH programs, ITS is also happily organize a customized short – course program for minimum 10 participants based on spesific requests from our international partners. The schedule, content and fee of the program can be tailored to suit your requirements. You can choose to combine Indonesian language course with particular learning areas such as tropical architecture, disaster management, supply chain management, local economic development, sustainable production, softskill and leadership developments and so on.
