Canterbury Christ Church University is please to announce its 2016 round for PhD scholarships.

Scholarships include a stipend of £13,000 per year and tuition fee waiver for three years. The scholarship is available for British/ EU and non-EU students and Canterbury Christ Church University is able to sponsor Tier4 student visas for non-EU students, who are awarded the scholarship.

2016 scholarship

We welcome applicants for full-time PhD scholarships (a stipend of £13,000 p.a. and tuition fee waiver for three years). Applications are invited across a range of subjects and themes:

  • Education (Auto/Biography and Narrative; Holistic Early Learning and Development; Curriculum: Creativity and Innovation; Inclusion, Equalities and Social Justice; Post Secular Values and the Sacred; Professional, Organisational and Leadership Development)

  • Contemporary Studies in Childhood, Youth and Parenthood (Children, Families and Communities; the Politics of Early Childhood Care and Education (birth to three); Social Divisions and Youth Marginalisation; Motherhood and Family Wellbeing)

  • Health and Wellbeing (Mental Health; Child Health and Wellbeing; Patient, Carer and Public Involvement/Service User and Carer Involvement; Innovation in Practice Development and Health Education; Health and Social Services Evaluation; Arts and Health)

  • Arts and Humanities (American Studies; Applied Linguistics; Archaeology; English Literature; History; Film Studies; Theology and Religious Studies; Music; Media and Cultural Studies; Performing Arts)

  • Social and Applied Sciences (Biological Sciences; Business and Management and Finance; Computing; Criminal Justice; Geography; Psychology; Politics and International Relations; Sociology; Sport and Exercise Science; Tourism Studies)
