Description
This scholarship recognises and supports top students from Malaysia who are studying in an undergraduate degree programme at the University. Tan Sri Datuk Oh Siew Nam P.S.M., P.J.N. and Puan Sri Datin Margaret Lois Oh established the scholarship in 2016 to support the University of Canterbury in recognition of its involvement in the Colombo Plan.
The scholarship has a value of $20,000. If, in any year, there are two candidates of equal merit, two $10,000 scholarships are awarded.

Eligibility
Applicants must be citizens of Malaysia. They cannot also be citizens of New Zealand or Australia, holders of New Zealand residence class visas, or Australian Permanent Residents. The scholarship is tenable by full-fee-paying international students only, during full-time enrolment in a programme for an undergraduate degree at the University.
