Yerevan Municipality is organizing an Energy City Hackathon within the frames of Energy Week. Anyone who is interested and has innovative, creative, and business thinking, has programming and data analytics skills, as well as engineers and young scientists who are 18-35 years old are invited to apply.
At the beginning of the hackathon, the experts and the Municipality representatives will present Yerevan’s projects, issues and challenges, after which participants will be divided into teams of 2-5 to generate ideas and hack solutions. This is a wonderful opportunity for youth and professionals to present their solutions for sustainable energy development in Yerevan.
The goals of the Hackathon are:
1. Proposing optimal and innovative solutions to implement reforms in the pre-selected target areas of the city;
2. Providing an opportunity to the youth to participate in the solution of community problems and have their contribution;
3. Enabling participants to acquire new skills;
4. Raising awareness on measures to improve the quality of life in the capital.
The Hackathon will last 12 hours, and during those 12 hours participants will be provided with all necessary conditions for working and having an interesting and quality time, including food.
Teams with the best solutions related to the climate and energy challenges will have the opportunity to develop their ideas and implement them in the city. Two categories of awards are available: Best Solution and Best Innovative Solution.
