The National Poetry Competition 2021 is now open.
The 2021 National Poetry Competition is one of the world’s most prestigious prizes for an unpublished poem of up to 40 lines, open to anyone 18 or over.
Ten Prizes
First Prize: £5,000
Second Prize: £2,000
Third Prize: £1,000
Commendations: £200
Deadline: 31 October 2021

The Poetry Society are commissioning brand new writing resources from previous winners and judges of the competition to get you in the National Poetry Competition mood. These will be posted on The Poetry Society’s website throughout the duration of the competition – look out for mentions of them on social media and in e-bulletins.
