 GLOBAL BIOETHICS, HUMAN RIGHTS & PUBLIC POLICY

Global Bioethics Initiative (GBI), invites students and professionals worldwide to attend the International Bioethics Summer School to be held online. 

The International Bioethics Summer School Program includes a series of lectures and seminars, webinars, film screenings, and guest speakers. Click here for information about the summer program.

FACULTY

The faculty of the summer school program is comprised of notable international scholars who will lecture and conduct seminars on various bioethical topics. Please visit the faculty page for more information.

FINAL FORUM

Participants will present their papers at an online conference mini forum during the last day of the program. This is not mandatory.

PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS 

Participants from lower middle income countries (LMICs) are encourage to apply for a partial scholarship. They must include a 300-500 word statement describing how they will benefit from it. Partial Scholarships winners will be notified several days after applying. Deadline Application: April 1, 2021

 CANADIAN JOURNAL OF BIOETHICS

A special edition in Canadian Journal of Bioethics / Revue canadienne de bioéthique (peer-reviewed journal) with participants’ articles, critical commentaries, artistic/creative works, case studies, reviews (including a review of the summer school).

GRADUATE CERTIFICATE

Following the completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate in Global Bioethics during the graduation ceremony and banquet.

UNIVERSITY CREDITS

We advise undergraduate and graduate students to inquire about receiving credits from their own universities/colleges.  At the end of the summer program online, we provide a document outlining the total number of contact hours, including a list of all lectures, seminars, and other activities, as well as an overall program evaluation of the participant.
