Undergraduate Scholarships
Saint Joseph's University awards scholarships to undergraduate applicants who have outstanding academic and achievement records. Each year the profile of the scholarship recipients varies based on the applicant pool. Review each scholarship description for the individual eligibility requirements.
UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS
The following scholarships do not require a separate application. You are automatically reviewed for eligibility as long as you meet the criteria.
MERIT-BASED ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPSAvailable to: Freshmen, Transfers, International
Awarded to new students who have outstanding academic and achievement records. All students who submit a complete application for admission are reviewed for a merit scholarship, including test-optional applicants.
ACADEMY OF FOOD MARKETING SCHOLARSHIPAvailable to: Freshmen, International
Awarded to freshmen who declare a food marketing major. Students who are U.S. citizens must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to be considered; international students may be required to submit proof of income. The scholarship review considers financial need as well as the applicant's academic record.
AIR FORCE ROTC SCHOLARSHIPSAvailable to: Freshmen, Transfers
Air Force ROTC offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors. These scholarships are competitive and are based on the Jesuit ideal of cura personalis, care for the whole person. Once contracted, in addition to receiving the scholarship, awardees receive book money and a monthly tax-free stipend. Saint Joseph's University provides free room and board for Type 1 AFROTC scholarship recipients and free room for Type II AFROTC scholarship recipients.
ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPSAvailable to: Freshmen, Transfers, International
Awarded by the Department of Athletics to students in each of our 20 NCAA D-1 intercollegiate athletic programs.
CORPUS CHRISTI SCHOLARSHIP FOR ART MAJORSAvailable to: Freshmen
A partial-tuition scholarship awarded to a freshman who expresses an interest in majoring in art at Saint Joseph’s. An application for admission by the early deadline of November 1 is preferred. Financial need is considered so students are required to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
JESUIT PREPARATORY SCHOLARSHIPSAvailable to: Freshmen, International
Awarded to incoming freshmen who graduate from a Jesuit high school and have achieved a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA on a 4.00 scale.
LEGACY AWARDSAvailable to: Freshmen, Transfers, International
Awarded to new students whose grandparent(s), parent(s), or sibling(s) graduated from Saint Joseph's University. Students must indicate this relationship on their application for admission.
MAGUIRE SCHOLARSHIPAvailable to: Freshmen
A limited number of partial-tuition scholarships are awarded to students attending a Maguire Foundation partner high school. Recipients must achieve a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA on a 4.00 scale and be engaged in community service and/or extracurricular activities. Recipients are required to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $20,000 or less. Preference may be given to students who are High School Maguire Scholars.
