The Scripps Howard Fellowship Program the Scripps Howard Foundation offers a 12-month fellowship program in conjunction with the Scripps Washington Bureau/Newsy and ProPublica's New York City newsroom.
The program, which starts in June 2020, is a paid opportunity for postgraduates looking to kick start their journalism career. Your degree does not have to be in journalism to be considered. We are looking for people with a demonstrated passion and commitment to journalism, and a desire to become a future leader in the industry.
SCRIPPS HOWARD FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
The Scripps Howard Foundation offers a 12-month fellowship program in conjunction with the Scripps Washington Bureau/Newsy and ProPublica’s New York City newsroom. Starting in June, fellows will work at either Scripps News Washington Bureau/Newsy or ProPublica, focusing on developing expertise in one specialty, while being exposed to all the components of the newsroom. The fellows will come together on three occasions for sessions on career management, leadership/collaboration and the business of journalism/entrepreneurship.

The application period for the 2020-2021 Scripps Howard Fellowship is now open through Oct. 18, 2019. The fellowship runs for one year beginning in June, 2020. It pays $50,000 and includes full benefits.
