A three-year structured PhD program

TASKS

Doctoral researchers will have the unique opportunity to undertake the doctoral project within a stimulating atmosphere within the interdisciplinary field of infection research. Working on a three-year research project doctoral researchers can select lectures and seminars, laboratory and soft-skills courses, join congresses, symposia and summer schools. The program is well supported by an intense network of doctoral researchers and supervisors. The three-year program is taught in English.

Research projects are on the following research topics:

Cellular and Molecular Immunology, Immunotherapy, Epigenetics, Virus Infection, Structural Biology, Bacterial Biofilms, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Light and Electron Microscopy, Genome and Transcriptome Profiling, Quorum Sensing, Pseudomonas Quinolone Signal, Image Analysis, Antimicrobial Pharmacodynamics.

PREREQUISITE

We expect

  • Highly motivated applicants
  • An above-average Master´s degree (or equivalent)
  • High interest in at least one of the above indicated research fields
  • Extensive laboratory experience 
  • Good written and spoken English skills 
  • Intercultural communication skills
