FEBS Advanced Lecture Course on Human Fungal Pathogens - Molecular Mechanisms of Host-Pathogen Interactions and Virulence, 18-24 May 2019, France

Publish Date: Oct 31, 2018

Deadline: Feb 01, 2019

Event Dates: from May 18, 2019 12:00 to May 24, 2019 12:00

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the eigth FEBS Advanced Lecture Course on Human Fungal Pathogens - Molecular Mechanisms of Host-Pathogen Interactions and Virulence.

We invite you to La Colle sur Loup in France, from May 18-24, 2019.

HFP2019

The increasing resistance of fungal species against available antifungals, the outbreak of novel multidrug resistant fungal species and the relative lack of novel therapies or antifungal strategies pose a serious challenge to affected patients. Though discouraging in some sense, it should motivate us as scientists to continue performing state-of-the-art research trying to improve our understanding on the molecular mechanisms by which these fungi cause virulence and disease. To encourage collaboration and broaden our perspectives on the study subjects, we present the following topics to be covered during HFP2019:

  • Genomics, evaluation and epidemiology
  • Molecular and cell biology
  • Novel tools and antifungal strategies
  • Mycobiome and host-pathogen interactions

Fees

Registration fees including full board :

  • Master and PhD students, postdoctoral researchers: 900 euro
  • Principal investigators: 1300 euro
  • Industry: 1800 euro

Grants will be available from FEBS and FEMS. These will reimburse all costs except travel expenses.
