Financial aid program for the 2018-2019 academic year
IMEP University does not guarantee that all applying students will receive the financial aid, and also reserves a right to amend the conditions, criteria, and order of allocation and distribution of financial aid.
”Kazakhstan 2050” Scholarship
Tuition covers: 100% coverage of tuition
Additional covering: monthly stipend, library,dormitory accommodation and transportation payment (non Almaty residents)
Duration: 4 academic years
Quantity: 5
Citizenship: Kazakhstan
Selection criteria:
— 2018 high school graduates;
— Excellent English Proficiency (KEPT/TOEFL/IELTS score requiring no KIMEP University Foundation Courses);
— The highest high school GPA (GPA 5.00 out of 5.00).
— The highest UNT score (min 100 out of 140);
Additional criteria:
— “Altyn Belgi” distinction;
— Certificates of winners of international and/or republican level Olympiads within the recent 3 years, which must be approved according to the order №154 of MES RK from December 7, 2011;
— Other criteria if required by FAO (English level, high school GPA for 5-11 grades, interview etc.).
Required documents:
– In online application form tick the particular field on Financial Aid part;
– To submit/upload KIMEP University application and package of documents to the Admission Office/Applicant Portal.

Scholarship for ”The Nurali Aliyev Bachelor of Information Systems in Business”
Tuition covers: 100% coverage of tuition
Duration: 4 academic years
Quantity: 20
Citizenship: Kazakhstan
Selection criteria:
I stage:
— 2018 high school graduates;
— Excellent English Proficiency (KEPT/TOEFL/IELTS score requiring no KIMEP University Foundation Courses);
— The highest high school GPA (GPA 4.50 out of 5.00).
— The highest UNT score (min 70 out of 140);
– Submit essay. The topic of an essay is “How will technology change our life in 20 years”.
Additional criteria:
— “Altyn Belgi” distinction;
— Certificates of winners of international and/or republican level Olympiads within the recent 3 years, which must be approved according to the order №154 of MES RK from December 7, 2011;
— Preferences will be given to winners of Olympiads in (1) computer science, (2) math, and (3) physics (in this particular order).
— Other criteria if required by FAO (English level, high school GPA for 5-11 grades, interview etc.).
II stage:
– Interview with joint interview board consisting of Zhanartu Charity Foundation and KIMEP University representatives.
Required documents:
– In online application form tick the particular field on Financial Aid part;
– Submit/upload essay. Topic of essay “How will technology change our life in 20 years”;
– To submit/upload KIMEP University application and package of documents to the Admission Office/Applicant Portal.

Scholarships for ”Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages” and “Bachelor of Arts in Translation and Professional Communication” applicants.
Tuition covers: 100% or 50% coverage of tuition
Duration: 4 academic years
Quantity: 5 scholarships with 100% and 5 scholarships with 50% of tuition coverage for each program
Citizenship: Kazakhstan
Selection criteria:
— 2018 high school graduates;
— Excellent English Proficiency (KEPT/TOEFL/IELTS score requiring no KIMEP University Foundation Courses);
— The highest high school GPA (not below 4.5 out of 5.0) .
— The highest UNT score (min 70 out of 140);
Additional criteria:
— “Altyn Belgi” distinction;
— Certificates of winners of international and/or republican level Olympiads within the recent 3 years, which must be approved according to the order №154 of MES RK from December 7, 2011;
— Other criteria if required by FAO (English level, high school GPA for 5-11 grades, interview etc.).
