Taiwan Fellowship 2018

Taiwan Fellowship is established by the Foreign Ministry in Taiwan to encourage scholars to do research in Taiwan, on topics ranging from Taiwan, cross-strait relations, mainland China, Asia-Pacific region to Chinese studies. The application is open until June 30, 2018, and the finalists begin their research in Taiwan in 2019. The research term is 3-12 months.

Financial Assistance

The fellowship provides one round-trip economy class ticket, monthly stipend and accident insurance.

Eligibility

Fellowship recipients can be full professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, or doctoral program students.

Miscellaneous

Fellowship administrator is the Center for Chinese Studies at National Central Library in Taiwan.

About the center

The Centre for Chinese Research (CCR) supports and disseminates research on China and the Chinese-speaking world. Located within the Institute of Asian Research, the CCR serves multiple constituencies, including UBC scholars and students, the field of Chinese studies, and the general public. In addition to facilitating coordination between researchers in different UBC departments and units, the CCR hosts visitors, sponsors academic conferences and seminars, and maintains an active program of public events.
