It is a place where researchers from around the world can meet, discuss, and work together. Its visiting researcher's program aims at bringing fresh ideas to the Institute’s research and provides opportunities for interdisciplinary and international networking.

The program is intended for researchers from the fields of Economic Sociology, Political Economy, and Modern History and offers stays generally ranging from 2 to 12 months. Applications are welcome from professors based either in Germany or abroad as well as postdoctoral and doctoral students.
