ImpactAim Venture Accelerator is the first impact accelerator in Armenia designed to drive the scale up of local and international impact ventures.

 This unique program, initiated by the UNDP  and implemented by Impact Hub Yerevan and Catalyst Foundation, is designed to exponentially scale-up ventures as well as their impact  and business value at national and international levels.

  By providing access to a relevant network of investors and customers and the support of exceptional mentors, the program will ensure the measurable output and scalability of selected ventures. 

The program is open for every registered entity with a scalable business model,  an innovative approach to addressing local needs, and proven solutions for achieving  impact.

All countries are eligible for the program.

Impact focus areas are:

  • regional urban and rural development
  • sustainable agriculture and food processing
  • green economy | renewable energy, energy efficiency, recycling and waste management, water management
  • innovation and technology-enhanced initiatives on public and social services, education, healthcare, other.
  • empowerment of vulnerable groups

ImpactAim ventures will be selected based on

1.Problem definition and impact

The venture’s solution is addressing a clearly defined social and/or environmental problem.
The venture has the potential to make an impact on the community, industry sector and/or geographic location it operates in. The targeted/achieved impact is measurable and can be mapped against Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

2. Innovative approach

Demonstrates an innovative approach in addressing a neglected / ineffectively addressed social and/or environmental problem. The approach could include either an innovative solution and/or an innovative business model.
Collaborations with the government, private sector, academia, NGOs, and civil society are in place.

3. Market and scalability

Replicable, scalable business model targeting sustainable operations.
There is clear evidence of market demand for the product or service, demonstrated by sales and market share in the country of operation, as well as by interest from partners or customers in other countries.

4. Social dimension

There is a clear focus on integrating underserved populations into the value chain of the venture through job creation, capacity building, and empowerment projects, local sourcing of goods and services, etc.
There is a demonstrated attempt to strive for equal opportunities (gender, race, religion, etc.) in the team, and other activities of the venture (supply chains, employees, customers).

5. Team

The team demonstrates the appropriate skills, motivation, commitment, and ambition to grow the venture and using the program support to scale their solution to other countries.

ImpactAim is suitable for every registered entity with a sustainable business.

All countries are eligible for the program.

Technology startups are highly encouraged to apply.

Only 8 finalists will be shortlisted to be part of the program.

Selected ventures will receive performance grants based on their impact, scaling up and expansion targets.
