Aghasi Harutyunyan Defended a PhD Thesis

On September 30, 2010, Aghasi Harutyunyan defended his PhD dissertation on “The Contemporary European Security System and the Republic of Armenia (1991-2008)” at the 056 Specialized Council under the RA Higher Qualifications Award Commission.

Aghasi Harutyunyan is seeking the academic rank of a Candidate of Historical Sciences, with a specialization of “International Relations”.  In addition to his studies at Yerevan State University, Aghasi has in the past been an exchange student in the US (UGRAD ’03), a Master’s student at Central European University in Hungary (2005-2006) and a research student at Oxford University in the UK (OSI/Chevening 2008-2009).

Aghasi is a member of the US Alumni Association of Armenia – USAAA.
