It boasts a 310-acre park-like location which is surrounded by the Trossach Hills, the setting for the movie Rob Roy, and encompasses Airthrey Loch and Airthrey Castle. It is a modern university though, built in 1967, and is only a short bus ride away from the town of Stirling, known as the heart of Scotland.
Study Abroad at Stirling International Summer School allows you to study side-by-side with other international students in an incomparably beautiful area of Scotland. Choose from a four or eight week program with the opportunity to enroll in a wide variety of areas including business and management, politics, history, sports studies, international relations, English, and film and media studies. Many of the courses incorporate British or Scottish themes including Scotland on the Screen and Scottish History: The Jacobites, among others.

The College of Global Studies at Arcadia has one of the most extensive scholarship programs of any study abroad organization. As a non-profit university, Arcadia aims to help students for whom financial assistance can mean the difference between participation in an Arcadia program and staying home. Eligibility for our scholarships is based on financial need and approximately 70% of study abroad students who apply for aid from Arcadia receive some form of award.
