Our hands can reveal our race, gender, age, and our occupation. We work with our hands, communicate with our hands and help others with our hands. Hands can create works of beauty, and they can be instruments of destruction. TBM is seeking your best representations of the human hand.
Eligibility
Contest is open to all individuals 18 years and older. All countries accepted. This competition is open to both professional and non-professionals. This contest is void where prohibited by law. Certain restrictions may apply. Local regulations and laws governing this contest may prohibit certain entries and disbursement of winnings. Each entrant assumes the responsibility to comply with all laws and regulations that govern their submissions and assumes the responsibility for their individual eligibility.
Submission Details
Both color and black and white images will be accepted. Images must be submitted online via the participant/entrant's TeraBella Media account. Only JPG/JPEG files will be accepted. Images with watermarks, captions and/or borders will not be accepted. The size of the images should be no larger than 1200 pixels on the largest side. All layers should be flattened and have a jpg compression quality of 7 or 8. Images should be saved with a resolution of 72ppi. Participants/entrants are required to pay an entry fee in the amount of $20 (USD) and may submit up to four (4) images. Entrant may submit up to eight (8) images for additional fees. All entry fees must be submitted via PayPal® or AlertPay® only. Entrants/particpatpants must be an authorized user on the PayPal® or AlertPay® account used to submit entry fee(s). All entry fees are non-refundable.
Prizes
- 1st Place: $500 (USD) cash prize
- 2nd Place: $200 (USD) cash prize
- 3rd Place: $100 (USD) cash prize
Three (3) Honorable Mentions & three (3) Merit Winners will also be chosen.
All finalists will be announced in the TBMPN/WPN newsletter and on the WPN Facebook page. Finalists will also receive recognition in on line gallery display and social media exposure via Facebook and Twitter.
Judging Regulations
Wining images will be selected on the following criteria:
- 25% credit to adherence to theme of contest
- 25% credit to originality of thought
- 25% to artistic interpretation
- 25% to photographic skills.
Images will be evaluated by the TeraBella Media staff judging committee. All decisions are final.
Entry Fee
$25 (USD) for first 4 images
(Up to 8 image entries may be submitted for additional fees)
Color and/or Black and White images will be accepted.
