Announcement to Graduate Students for Financial Assistance

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is pleased to offer financial assistance in the form of tuition waivers to qualified Emiratis who desire to pursue graduate studies at the University. The program will be available to two groups of Emiratis students: (1) Full-time employees of the University and (2) Nationals at-large.

Eligibility Requirements

The candidate must meet the following conditions:

  • Be an Emirati National;
  • Be enrolled in a graduate degree program at UAEU;
  • Be in good academic standing (cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher);
  • Have completed a minimum of one year of study in a Graduate program and has earned a minimum of 12 graduate credits;
  • Not be sponsored by an employer or any other organization.

Benefits of Awards

The benefits of the Chancellor's Graduate Student Fellowship Program are as follows:

First Category: Full-time Emirati employees of the UAEU
Candidates in this category will be offered a partial tuition waiver of 20% of the total cost of tuition.
Second Category: Emirati Nationals at-large
Candidates in this category will be offered a partial tuition waiver of 15% of the total cost of tuition.

Duration of Awards

A Fellowship award is valid for the duration of the student's study period provided the student continues to meet the eligibility criteria, that means:

  • The student maintains a GPA of 3.0 or higher and
  • Is not sponsored by an employer or any other organization.

If the recipient of an award becomes ineligible, he/she will forfeit the award automatically.

Applying for a Fellowship

To apply, complete a "Chancellor Graduate Student Fellowship Application Form" and submit it to the College of Graduate Studies in person or via email by sending a signed, scanned copy of the form to cgs@uaeu.ac.ae.

Deadline for Applications

Applications are due by the end of the second week of classes of the Fall and Spring semesters.
