The 14th International Poster Biennial in Mexico

The 14th convocation of the International Poster Biennial in Mexico (BICM) is not only an international contest of poster opens, but a space of creation and meeting that occurs every two years.

Participants

Graphic designers, design students, visual artists, photographers and graphic creators in general are allowed to participate, no matter age or nationality.

 

Categories

In its 14th edition, the BICM presents four categories:

Category A – Best printed Poster 2015/2016
Participants shall submit posters on any subject. The posters must have been printed between May 2014 and May 2016.

Category B – Participants shall submit unpublished posters on the subject: "Posters in favor of people’s human rights in the migration".

Category C – Editorial Design Posters 
Participants shall submit unpublished posters on the subject: "Commemorative posters to promote the 10th anniversary of the GQ Mexico magazine".

Category D – Participants shall submit unpublished posters on the subject "Biodiversity preservation posters".

Entry fees

• Categories A, C, D
Residents in Mexico: $150 (mexican pesos) for every registered poster.
Residents abroad: Design books as registration fee are accepted. These works will become part of the BICM's library. The author of the poster shall send a book whose subject will be about design, no matter the number of works they will present in the competition.
• Category B – there are no entry fees

Prizes

• Category A
First place: $100,000 (one hundred thousand mexican pesos), the Ernesto “El Chango” Cabral golden medal  and a certificate.
Second place: Silver medal and a certificate.
Third place: Bronze medal and a certificate.

• Category B
First place: $100,000 (one hundred thousand mexican pesos), a golden medal and a certificate.
Second place: Silver medal and a certificate.
Third place: Bronze medal and a certificate.

• Category C
First place: $100,000 (one hundred thousand mexican pesos), GQ México Golden medal and a certificate.
Second place: GQ México Silver medal and a certificate.
Third place: GQ México Bronze medal and a certificate.

• Category D
First place: Golden medal and a certificate.
Second place: Silver medal and a certificate.
Third place: Bronze medal and a certificate.
