About the Summer School

    The award of the credits is subject to agreement with your home institution. This agreement needs to be documented in your application.

The course fee does not include expenses for food or accommodation.

Fees

Depending on what type of participation you choose, you might have to pay fees. The fees below are from the summer school 2016 and serve as examples. The fees for the summer school 2017 will be online as soon as we are open for applications.

Free of charge applies to:
All VIA University College students or EU/EEC students from VIA partner institutions, who can document that the VIA Summer School course is part of their education

Participation fee (250 EUR/3-week course) applies to:
All VIA University College students or EU/EEC students from VIA partner institutions who cannot document that the VIA Summer School course is part of their education, and all students from non-VIA partner institutions, graduates from a school of higher education and applicants not currently enrolled in any school of higher education.

Tuition Fee (650 EUR/3-week course) applies to:
All students and graduates of non-EU/EEC schools of higher education.

Cooperation agreement

Your citizenship or nationality does not determine whether you must pay a fee. Whether or not you must pay a fee depends on the location of your home institution and whether or not it has a cooperation agreement with VIA University College.

If you are in doubt about whether or not your school has a bilateral exchange agreement with (is a partner of) VIA University College, you can ask your head of department, head of programme or international officer.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any scholarships for participants at the moment.

Arrival and Departure

Students using our accommodation assistance:
We expect students to arrive the weekend before the course starts.
We will organise transportation from the train station to your destination. Further information including the programme for the first day will be sent directly to participants by e-mail.
We expect students to depart on Friday (the last day of the course) or on Saturday (the day after) before noon.

Living expenses

Expenses related to books, course materials, social programme, and housing are not included in the fees listed above. You must also budget for buying your own food.

Social activities

VIA Summer School will organise social activities, some of which will require payment.

More information

The currency in Denmark is the Danish Krone (DKK). Most shops will accept credit cards such as VISA or MasterCard.

Accommodation

You must arrange accommodation yourself.

All participants in VIA Summer School in Horsens must book and pay for their own lodging, board and transport.

There are many possibilities when it comes to accommodation in Horsens. We strongly recommend that you arrange your own accommodation to fit your personal expectations and needs.
