About the Summer School

Tutor: Michal Blažek

Tutor´s bio: Michal is a freelancer in both social media consulting and online marketing. Michal is a certified counselor in Google Analytics and Google Adwords. By combining his big passion for programming and IT, Michal is truly an online guru (or is about to become one). He also lectures all ten writing courses. Mr Blažek graduated from the University of Economics in Prague. He studied in the UK for a semester as well.

I hate plain talking! This is the reason why I (the tutor) have decided to teach a seminar with cooperation with real businesses! I am going to introduce you the world of online marketing, show you how the channels are connected and teach you how to measure everyhing you do online. Capacity: Max 20 Students

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00 – 14:00

Credits: ECTS = 5. You will receive an official Certificate of Attendance upon completion of your course which you may use to show evidence of the skills you have learnt during the course and have the credits accepted by your home university.

Price: All course materials and organization of afternoon and evening activities are included in the Course fee. You will also receive a Welcome and a Goodbye drink. There is a 50EUR application fee for all students registering after 15.5.2015 from countries outside Czech and Slovak republic.Trips and special activities such as boat parties, trips to NP Krka, or water sports equipment rentals are at an extra cost. SKILLS

Digital Marketing is a very broad mixture of marketing channels and people. After completion of the course, attendees will be able to:

    • Create online marketing strategy
    • Understand various online channels including:
      • PPC and RTB marketing
      • Social Media Marketing
      • E-mail Marketing
      • Affiliate Marketing
      • Content Marketing
    • Understand basics of SEO and web analytics
    • Understand the process of website development and how to include online marketing channels.
    • Use the bets tools on the market and where to find the latest information and updates.

Course will be built on practical workshops on real company cases.

PREREQUISITES

Students must be intermediate in spoken English (B1).

For tasks to be performed in class they need to have access to a computer.

Basics of HTML programming may be an advantage but it is not neccessary.

  • Introducing the world of online marketing and its endless possibilities.

Day 2

  • Introduction to web analytics
  • You cannot do marketing if you do not know how to measure it!

Day 3 and 4

  • Social Media Marketing
  • From Facebook to Chinese social networks

Day 5

  • Basics of SEO
  • Basics of website development
  • Introduction to CMS – WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Tumblr, Kentico etc.
  • Built your own blog!

Day 5

  • PPC and RTB
  • Creating campaign in Adwords and Bing
  • Retargeting and Remarketing

Day 6

  • Affiliate Marketing
  • E-mail Marketing

Day 7

  • Connecting All Channels!
  • Basic of UX (User Expirience)
  • Basic of IT Project Management

Days 8, 9, 10

  • Real case studies from real businesses.
  • We will create a marketing agency that will be performing real business with real data and money!
