Scottish History Summer Program, United Kingdom

Publish Date: Jan 14, 2016

Deadline: Mar 31, 2016

Event Dates: from Jun 08, 2016 12:00 to Jul 09, 2016 12:00

Delve into the natural wonders of Scotland through field study

Explore the mountains and cultural past of Scotland for four weeks as you learn about the history and culture of this fascinating land both inside and outside the classroom. With up to two field studies and excursions a week to sites throughout Scotland, you’ll be living and breathing the make-up of this country.

  • Your courses are integrated with field trips to explore both the cultural past and landscape of Scotland.

  • You will participate in one course on the history of Scotland.

  • You’ll complete your coursework alongside Museum Studies Interns so you’ll get to know other Arcadia students in Edinburgh.

"Delving deeper into the cultural identity of Scotland lends a perspective imperceptible to the typical tourist. Scotland's national perception goes far beyond its tartan-clan bagpipers and ubiquitous castle ruins. ”

Jessica Timmington (University of St. Thomas Student, Scottish History)
