These studentships offer financial support for PhD-level biomedical scientists to undertake postgraduate qualifications at Imperial College London or the National Film and Television School (NFTS).

Who can apply
To apply for a Science Media Studentship, you should be a PhD-level biomedical scientist who wants to have a career in the broadcast, games or film industry in the UK or Republic of Ireland. You must have a confirmed place on a course before a studentship can be awarded.
Competitive applicants will have some experience of science communication and/or working in the broadcast, games or film industries.
How to apply
Your application will be assessed by Imperial College London or the National Film and Television School (NFTS). Please don’t apply to the Wellcome Trust.
After the application deadline, Imperial College London or the NFTS will shortlist candidates for interview. At this stage, the Wellcome Trust will consider these candidates for studentships.
