The Internationales Kolleg für Kulturtechnikforschung und Medienphilosophie (IKKM, International Research Institute for Cultural Techniques and Media Philosophy) invites scholars from the humanities, social sciences, and arts to apply for a non-teaching Postdoctoral Fellowship (6 months), starting on 1st April 2016.

The fellowship is open to junior faculty and excellent PhD recipients. Applications, based on a short exposé, should address themes close to the IKKM research programme Operative Ontologies and its annual topic - Condensing/Dispersing (2016/17).

The Internationales Kolleg für Kulturtechnikforschung und Medienphilosophie (IKKM) is an institute of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. It has been funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research's Käte Hamburger Programme since 2008.

The fellow will be expected to attend sessions of the IKKM Lectures and Labs and to present and discuss their work in the IKKM Lab. The working language is English. The fellowship has a period of appointment of up to six months. Fellows either receive a research grant or the fellow's home institution may be reimbursed for the costs of a replacement. During the fellowship, an office in the former Palais Dürckheim as well as access to the infrastructure of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will be provided.
