Professional journalists and photographers, including foreign correspondents, in Brazil can compete for an award.
Petrobras, Brazil's energy company, is inviting entries for its journalism awards aimed at recognizing the importance of the press for democracy.
Categories
The competition is divided among regional, national and international categories along the main themes: culture, environmental responsibility, sports, oil, gas and energy and photojournalism.
Works must have been published or aired between April 10, 2014 to July 9, 2015 by newspapers/magazines, radio, television and news websites.
Prizes
Winners will receive BRL7,600 to BRL31,800, depending on the category.
The application deadline is Feb. 26.
