About the Fellowship
The Maastricht Centre for Citizenship, Migration and Development (MACIMIDE) is pleased to invite applications for its Senior Fellowship scheme for the academic year 2014/15.
The Fellowship
Fellows will engage in collaborative work with members of MACIMIDE along one of the four research themes:
- Migration and Development
- Transnational Families
- Cross-border Mobility
- Citizenship and Immigrant Integration
MACIMIDE provides a vibrant research environment in which fellows can pursue their research, present their work and expand their network. Fellows have access to Maastricht University facilities, computer services, and library resources. They receive a workspace at one of MACIMIDE’s participating faculties. Fellows can apply for financial support from MACIMIDE. Financial support depends on available budget and will be decided on an individual basis.
Eligibility
Fellows must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in the social sciences, law or humanities at the time of their application. Ideally, they should use their stay to work together with a MACIMIDE researcher on a joint research project and/or funding application.
Application
Potential candidates are strongly encouraged to contact MACIMIDE researchers who work on related areas or projects before they submit applications. Information about the MACIMIDE Research Themes and associated researchers can be found on the MACIMIDE website at: https://macimide.maastrichtuniversity.nl/
The application folder should contain the following documents:
- An academic CV
- A short research proposal (max. 1.000 words) presenting applicant’s research background, the topic and the planning of the research that s/he intends to conduct at MACIMIDE
