The organisers of the Competition are Garden World Images Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales. "International Garden Photographer of the Year" is the world's premier competition for garden, plant and flower photography.

There are also two Photo Projects seasonal competitions, they are based on specific themes. Deadlines for these are as follows:
Monochrome: 14th February - 31st March
Macro Art: 1st April - 30th June
All entries must be uploaded via the official website.
Entry fees
• Single image: Up to 4 images in any category: £10 per category.
• Portfolio: a set of 6 themed images-1 portfolio in any category: £25 per category.
Eligibility
The competition is open to everyone, amateurs and professionals alike. Entries are welcome from any country in the world. There are no restrictions on the type of camera you use, or the techniques you use to produce your final image. For more detailed technical information, see Help.
