The University of Chicago Society of Fellows
The University of Chicago Society of Fellows will begin accepting applications on August 31, 2017 for four-year postdoctoral teaching appointments as Harper and Schmidt Fellows who hold the rank of Collegiate Assistant Professor.
The Fellows are members of the College Faculty whose primary responsibility is to teach in the general education (Core) program. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in their original scholarship as well as in teaching.
Important Dates
October 13, 2017 11:59:59 pm CDT: Online application deadline
October 27, 2017 11:59:59 pm CDT: Deadline for receipt of recommendations
December 2017 - January 2018: Additional materials will be requested from selected candidates
February 2018 - April 2018: Selected candidates will be invited for campus visits
May 2018 - June 2018: All candidates will be contacted at the conclusion of the search
August 31, 2018: Ph.D. requirements fulfilled
September 1, 2018: Teaching appointments begin
