ONTHEMOVE INTERNATIONAL AWARD: HAPPINESS ON THE MOVE/FELICITÀ IN MOVIMENTO
Cortona On The Move is devoted to promoting the work and the passion of professional and emerging photographers alike. One of the main tools to this end is our international award entitled HAPPINESS ON THE MOVE/FELICITÀ IN MOVIMENTO, organized in partnership with the Consorzio del Vino Chianti, for which 'happiness' is the dominant theme.
ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open to all photographers, irrespective of age, sex or nationality and there is no entry fee. Photographers may enter both the HAPPINESS ON THE MOVE prize as well as the OFF CIRCUIT, so long as they enter each section with two entirely different projects. Registration starts on April 15, 2016.
ENTRY
- The theme of the project is HAPPINESS.
- Each applicant may enter a maximum of 3 projects (NOTE: You must re-register before uploading each project).
- Each project must include a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 15 photos.
- Uploading material will be possible after first completing the application module and entry form on the official website.
- Single projects submitted by multiple photographers must include a release form signed by all participants.
- You must attach a text explaining the nature of your project together with a brief bio of yourself (not more than 1000 keystrokes per doc).
- Image files should be Jpeg format, in colour or B&W, resized to 800 pixels on the longest side with 72 dpi resolution.
- File names should be written as follows: IRNAME_INITIAL OF FIRST NAME_SEQUENTIAL IMAGE NUMBER. I.e. James Frey would name his files:
- FREY_J_001.jpg
- FREY_J_002.jpg
- FREY_J_003.jpg
- The winning project will be printed at the expense of the COTM organisation and will be exhibited in the 2016 edition of the Festival.
- The award will be presented to the winner in Cortona, during the inauguration of the 2017 Festival.
- All participants selected for the competition give their explicit consent to the use of their images by the organisation, both for exhibition purposes, for publication and for any future promotional activities relating to the competition, without payment of any royalties whatsoever to the author(s) or third parties.
- Participation in the competition implies that each photographer is in possession of full authorisation to use the images of all subjects portrayed in the project, and he or she assumes full responsibility for the use of said images. Each photographer retains full Copyright ownership of all images submitted to the competition.
PRIZE
A prize of 4,000 euros, funded by the Consorzio del Vino Chianti, will be given to the winning entrant to be selected by a jury of international editors and photo editors. The winning project will be exhibited in the 2017 edition of Cortona On The Move.
DEADLINE
The closing date for submissions to the competition is May 31st 2016 at 23.59 hrs (CET).
