Call for Applications for a Franz Roh Fellowship in Modern and Contemporary Art from the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Munich

The Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte and the Institut für Kunstgeschichte of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich will award a Franz Roh Fellowship in Modern and Contemporary Art (19th-21st century) at the Studienzentrum zur Moderne – Bibliothek Herzog Franz von Bayern at the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte.

The fellowship is intended for doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars who have graduated within the last five years who are working on a project related to modern or contemporary art. Fellows are expected to to partake in the activities of the ZI and the Institut für Kunstgeschichte of the LMU and to present the fellowship project.

Fellowship

The fellowship lasts three months and can commence either in September or in October 2016. Graduate fellows will receive a monthly stipend of 2300 EUR. Postgraduate fellows will receive 2800 euros per month. In addition, individuals applying from outside of Germany can be rewarded a one-time travel subvention.

Eligibility

The fellowship is open to anyone from around the world.
