Curtin University PhD Scholarship in Public Health
A three year PhD scholarship is available for an outstanding candidate to conduct epidemiological research at the School of Public Health. The scholarship is linked to a National Health & Medical Research Council funded project on obesity and risk of diabetes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on an international data pooling study with national and international experts in diabetes, obesity and epidemiology.
The PhD candidate will work under the supervision of Prof Rachel Huxley (http://oasisapps.curtin.edu.au/staff/profile/view/Rachel.Huxley) and Dr Crystal Lee (http://oasisapps.curtin.edu.au/staff/profile/view/Crystal.Lee).

Value
The successful candidate will receive a stipend of $26,288 per annum (2016 rate).
Eligibility criteria
The successful candidate will
- Have at least a Bachelor degree with honours class 1 or 2A in Public Health, or Mathematics and Statistics or computation;
- Have strong numeric skills and an interest in quantitative research;
- Preferably have experience in research and/or the use of statistical packages;
