Cariology Conference

The European Organisation for Caries Research (ORCA) is a scientific organisation which promotes oral health through scientific research in the field of Cariology. ORCA, together with University of Malaya, will be hosting a cariology conference and a summer school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in July 2017.

The objective of the conference is to provide a platform where renowned researchers and educators of cariology can share their expertise and knowledge in a one-day event dedicated specifically to the practice and teaching of cariology. This conference is expected to attract a significant group of cariology researchers and educators, especially those from the Asia-Pacific region, and it is hoped that through the Discussion sessions of this conference, the cariology-related problems and concerns of the region could be highlighted. Industrial partners of the cariology community will not only be able to gain insights into oral health issues peculiar to the region but will also have the opportunity to engage in the discussion which aims to address these issues. Finally, it is hoped that the conference will lead to the initiation of targeted and concerted dental research and education efforts amongst researchers, educators and industry.

The speakers who have confirmed to present at the conference include both ORCA Council members and regional representatives active in cariology research and education.
