A Little Bit About Changes for New Hope

Changes for New Hope is a registered non-profit organization located in the Peruvian Andes which helps disadvantaged children living in destitution. Since 2009, we have reached thousands of children in the Andes, providing them with a meaningful childhood, vitamins and anti-parasite medicine to fight anemia and malnutrition. Over seven tons of school supplies, recreational materials, shoes and clothing have been supplies to the children as of this date. We have also developed their artistic talents which have enhanced their self esteem and have exhibited their artwork in six various venues, three of which were national museums. Our key message "Haz lo Correcto-Do the Right Thing" is a core value. This project was created and developed by Jim Killon, an American born humanitarian, photojournalist, author and artist. His own photography of the lives and conditions of the indigenous people of the Andes was shared in his photo essay, "The Hidden People of the Peruvian Andes" and shared internationally. His e-book, "A Gringo in Peru-A Story of Compassion in Action" also shares the story of the children and his creation of his project to help them. Our website is www.changesfornewhope.org. Visit us on Facebook at Changes for New Hope.
