Artists’ International Development Fund
We want to develop excellent, international-facing artists in the UK. That's why we launched the Artists' International Development Fund, in partnership with the British Council. We are investing in talented individuals to develop skills, expand horizons and introduce an international perspective to their work.
Eligibility
Individual artists and/or creative practitioners. This includes, for example; producers, curators, publishers, editors, translators and choreographers. You can find full eligibility criteria in the guidance for applicants.

Exhibition, Original work, Professional development, Talent development
The fund aims to:
- offer artistic and/or market development for artists and creative practitioners
- develop a cohort of artists and creative practitioners who have experienced the benefits of international working between the UK and other countries, and who advocate for it among their peers
- increase the amount of international collaboration among artists and/or creative practitioners between the UK and other countries

You should pay particular attention to the eligibility criteria – this will help you decide if you should proceed with your application or not.
Application dates
Round 16 of the Artists' International Development Fund deadline will open on Thursday 23 March 2017 with a deadline for submission of applications of 5pm Wednesday 14 June 2017.
Please note: New applicant profiles (which you can create and submit now) be must be submitted for validation on our online application system by 5pm Wednesday 31 May 2017.
You will not be able to start your application until your applicant profile has been validated.
We will notify applicants of the outcomes of our decisions by Wednesday 02 August 2017 (project activity cannot commence prior to this date)
The Artists' International Development Fund has three rounds of funding each year. You can only make one application to this fund in any 12 month period. Take a look at the latest rounds in the Guidance for applicants.
