Ministry of Education Humanities Scholarships 2020 for Undergraduate Students in Singapore

HUMANITIES SCHOLARSHIP

The Humanities Scholarship is offered by the Ministry of Education to encourage outstanding students to study the humanities at the pre-university level under the Humanities Scholarship Programme (HSP). The HSP is available at the following centres:

  • Anglo-Chinese Junior College;
  • Anglo-Chinese School (Independent);
  • Eunoia Junior College;
  • Hwa Chong Junior College;
  • National Junior College;
  • Raffles Institution (Junior College);
  • Temasek Junior College; and
  • Victoria Junior College.

Students may subsequently apply for the undergraduate awards from the Public Service Commission (PSC) to continue their study of the humanities in overseas universities or at the National University of Singapore and the Nanyang Technological University.

Eligibility

Candidates should:

  • Be Singapore Citizens;
  • Have done consistently well in school, obtaining outstanding results in the GCE O-Level Examinations, with a minimum grade of B3 for English / equivalent results based on IP school’s internal assessment;
  • Have a good record of co-curricular activities;
  • Have good conduct record;
  • Have successfully been admitted to one of the Humanities Centres; and
  • Not currently be in receipt of any other MOE scholarship (except EESIS, ESIP and ESIS).
