Vartan Gregorian Scholarship (Research Grants) Program
The Aurora Humanitarian Initiative and Scholae Mundi Armenia have announced a call for applications for new research grants. Vartan Gregorian Scholarship (Research Grants) Program will support exceptional early-career scholars and researchers, with a specific focus on historians and social scientists, in their efforts to study the less-explored questions of 20th-century Armenian history.
The scholarship program will award two $30,000 grants per year, covering research, travel, and publications. Two grants are envisioned per year.
ELIGIBILITY: The research grants are targeted at early-career historians, social scientists, and researchers under the age of 35. The research grants in the current phase are intended for Armenian citizens residing in Armenia.
APPLICATION PERIOD AND REQUIREMENTS: The application process will be conducted online through Aurora Humanitarian Initiative’s website from 12 October 2018 to 31 December 2018. The applicants will be requested to submit:

Research proposal (in English), including the envisioned expenditures of the grant funds (max 2,000 words, double-spaced, 12-pt font)

CV with a list of publications (in English)

Cover letter (in English)

At least one letter of recommendation from an established scholar (in English)
SELECTION: The Selection Board is comprised of five prominent scholars.
