MA program - English-Speaking Cultures – Language, Text, Media
MA program will start in the winter term of 2018/19. Applications will be accepted between April 15 and July 15th, 2018.
Application procedure
Interview
In the beginning, there will be an online interview where you will be asked questions about your previous studies, the current study, foreign language skills, etc. The online interview helps you to determine whether you meet the requirements for the program chosen. At the end of the interview you will be shown a summary of your responses allowing you to make corrections, if necessary, and to validate your responses before moving forward to the application form. Once you have validated the data, you will not be able to return to the interview.
Application form
If you meet all the programme requirements, you may proceed to the online application form. Please make sure that you have all the information required to complete the online application listed below:
- Personal data (name, date of birth, address, ...)
- School education (date of graduation, grade, ...)
- University education (name of university, degree, ...)
- All documents (certificates scanned as pdf)
Note: You may re-access the saved information at any time until you submit it. To re-access the online application, you have to register in order to obtain a login ID and a password. This allows you to return to and complete an application you have started earlier and also to monitor the status of an ongoing application.
Complete application
After you have filled in the online application form and submitted it electronically, please print the completed application form that shows.
Once you have received an official letter from the University of Bremen informing you that you have been admitted to the program chosen, send the signed application form and the other required application documents (see www.uni-bremen.de/en/masterportal.html) to the address mentioned on the form.
Duration of online application
Completing the online application procedure will take about 20 - 25 minutes. This includes both going through the interview and filling in the application form.
Technical requirements
The online application has been optimized to work with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher, Firefox 1.04 or higher and Mozilla browser version 1.4 or higher.
It will also work on Netscape version 4.77 and higher, Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 and higher and Mozilla version 1.3 or 2.0. The program cannot guarantee that it will function correctly with other browsers.
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to print out the application form. Adobe Acrobat Reader should be installed before beginning the application process.
For the application process, your browser must enable cookies and JavaScript. For security reasons, your login session will be timed out automatically if you do not enter any data for some time. All unsaved changes made to your application will be lost in this case.
Data protection
The data which you submit will be edited, stored, and processed by the university in full compliance with the data protection regulations currently in force.
