Tuesday Afternoon

We're kicking things off at 4 p.m. on Tuesday with the opening keynote at the historic Masonic Auditorium. Stick around for a welcome party featuring music and dancing for extroverts, drinks and quiet places to chat for introverts, and fantastic food for everyone.

Wednesday and Thursday

Sessions

With more than 70 sessions at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, you'll have plenty of options when it comes to content. Get insights into what's new and coming in the Elastic Stack directly from the Elastic developers working on the projects. Learn tips and tricks from Elastic users and customers for use cases you may have never imagined.

Ask Me Anything

Apart from the plethora of content being delivered at the conference, our ginormous Ask Me Anything (AMA) station is another attendee favorite. Elastic developers, product managers, support engineers, and executives are there to field questions from you all day, every day. It's a unique opportunity to chat directly with the people behind the projects you know and love.

Sponsor Showcase & Demo Stations

The sponsor showcase and demo stations at Elastic{ON} are the equivalent of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, but for Elasticsearch users. Spend some time with our sponsors, who have deep Elasticsearch expertise, to learn if they can help with your use case(s). Stop by a demo booth to see one of our solution architects put the Elastic Stack into action. We're sure you'll stumble upon other surprises, too – magnetic walls, coffee bars, a golden ticket . . . you never know.

Elastic{ON} 2018 Opportunity Grant

Application

Applications for the grant will remain open until December 1, 2017. Recipients will be notified by January 5, 2018.

We are happy to answer any questions you might have. Contact our developer relations team any time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What constitutes an underrepresented group in the technology industry?

There are so many groups we would love to see better represented at Elastic{ON}, and we don't want to limit grant applicants by providing a definitive list of underrepresented groups. If you aren't sure if you fit the criteria for grant eligibility, feel free to reach out us via email or simply submit an application. We'll be happy to get back to you as soon as we can.

Will everyone receive a discounted ticket, complimentary hotel stay, and airfare as part of their grant?

Grants will be awarded based on need and impact. You may receive all of the above or you may receive a partial grant if you are selected as one of our grant recipients.

Will the travel grant cover the full cost of my airfare?

Your travel grant may cover the whole cost of your airfare or it may cover the cost partially. This decision is based on need and impact.

Will I need to book my own airfare?

We are asking each grant recipient to book their own airfare. We will make hotel arrangements for you if you have been awarded complimentary nights at the conference hotel as part of your grant.

When will I receive my travel grant?

The travel grant is paid to the recipient shortly after the conference. Please note that you will need to submit an airfare receipt in order to receive your grant.

Is there anything I should know if I'm traveling to the US from another country?

If you are traveling into the United States and need a visa for entry, we strongly encourage you to wait to purchase airfare until after your visa has been accepted.

What if there is an emergency and I am not able to attend?

If you are denied entry to the US with a valid visa or are unable to attend due to another emergency (for example a health emergency or a death in the family), we will pay your non-refundable costs (up to the amount you were awarded for travel costs).
