The 5th edition of the Winter School on Network Optimization will take place at the Hotel Sana, Estoril, from 11h to the 15th of January 2016. Its main objective is to provide an opportunity for Ph.D. students to get together and attend high-level courses in the field of Network Optimization. Non-PhD students are welcome to attend the school, but the number of participants is limited and priority will be given to Ph.D. students. Since the first edition in 2009, the school has been part of the activities of the CIO, now CMAF-CIO (Centro de Matemática, Aplicações Fundamentals e Investigação Operacional) the University of Lisbon as well as of the ENOG (European Network Optimization Group). The event is also endorsed by the EURO (the Association of European Societies) and APDIO - http://apdio.pt/home - (the Portuguese OR society).
NetOpt2009, NetOpt2011, NetOpt2013 and NetOpt2015 were a success and brought participants from respectively 13,17,13 and 13 different countries
Program
Morning lessons are devoted to lectures by the invited speakers on the five proposed themes. During afternoon workshops, the students will work on exercises and discuss questions raised in the morning lessons. Each lecturer will coordinate the morning class and the afternoon workshop.

The fee includes 6 nights in a double room at the Sana Estoril Hotel, 5 lunches and 5 breakfasts (from Monday to Friday), 1 welcome reception (Sunday), one dinner on Wednesday, and a farewell reception on Friday.
With the exception of Wednesday, attendees will have free evenings.
