About the program
AGCARM (New Zealand Association for Animal Health and Crop Protection) is the non-profit trade association of companies which manufacture, distribute and sell products that keep crops thriving and animals healthy. Member companies are committed to ensuring that these products are used safely, effectively and sustainably.
Crop protection products play a pivotal role in the high yield, sustainable production of food and fibre which not only provides a plentiful supply of wholesome, nutritional and affordable food, while keeping New Zealand agriculture, horticulture and forestry internationally competitive.
This Scholarship shall be available to New Zealand Citizens and Permanent Residents studying full time for a degree in B AgriScience, B AgriCommerce or BSc (Agricultural Science) at Massey University. Applicants must have completed the first year of their degree programme.
Areas of study that will be supported include production horticulture, agriculture and agribusiness which is relevant to the successful applicant pursuing a career in businesses involved in sustainable crop and animal production and related agribusiness sectors.
Criteria for assessment will include academic record, curriculum vitae, personal statement and 600-word essay outlining why you are currently studying agriculture.
- The Scholarship shall be awarded annually and shall have a value of $2,500.
- The Selection Committee may refrain from a making the award if there is not an applicant of sufficient merit.
- The Scholarship may be held in conjunction with other awards/scholarships.
- The Scholarship shall be awarded based on the applications received by a selection panel from AGCARM.
Applications close 31 March.
