Awarded for the world’s best picture on the theme of peace
The Alfred Fried Photography Award is awarded by The Photographische Gesellschaft, (PHG) and Edition Lammerhuber. "The Alfred Fried Photography Award aims to present human efforts to live together in peace and the quest for beauty and goodness in our lives. The award goes to those photographs that best express the idea that our future can only be peaceful coexistence".
Participants
The Alfred Fried Photography Award is open to professional and amateur photographers from anywhere in the world.
Entry
You may enter several photographs as individual submissions without an overall theme. Or you can submit up to 20 photographs as one story. For each submission (single image or story) you need a caption in english, maximum length 750 characters. Submission is free of charge.
Prizes
The winner of the Alfred Fried Photography Award will receive the sum of € 10,000. The organizers will fly the winners to Vienna for the award ceremony at the Austrian Parliament on 20 September 2016. In addition, the top five listed photographers will be awarded the Alfred Fried Peace Medal.
