New Europe College-Institute for Advanced Study in Bucharest, Romania announces the competition for the “Spiru Haret” Fellowships in the academic year 2017-18.

The program targets young Romanian researchers/academics in the humanities and social sciences whose projects address questions relating to migration, displacement, diaspora. NEC also welcomes projects which look at cultural phenomena (in literature, visual arts, music etc.) related to migration and diaspora.

The Romanian Fellows will be integrated in the NEC community and will work, alongside their foreign colleagues whose projects tackle the same kind of questions, as a focus group in diaspora and migration studies, in accordance with the goal of the “Spiru Haret” Fellowship Program.
