PhD Scholarship in the Centre of Advanced Materials and Industrial Chemistry, RMIT University
Applications are invited for a cutting edge PhD research project at RMIT University. RMIT is a global university of technology, focused on creating solutions that transform the future for the benefit of people and their environments.
Value and duration:
The scholarship is valued between A$30,000 per annum for up to 3.5 years.
Project: Designing novel class of gold complexes with improved anticancer properties.
Driven by impact and ambitious to address real-world challenges, this project has been defined to bring new solutions to cancer treatment.
This multidisciplinary project brings chemistry and biology to design novel class of gold-based anticancer drugs and test their biological activities. The project has four major phases:
► Prepare different types of ligands
► Synthesize novel gold compounds containing the new synthesised ligands
► Characterize the proposed compounds
► Explore the anti-cancer properties of the new synthesised gold compounds
