MF Norwegian School of Theology is an accredited specialized university in Oslo. MF offers research and study programs in Theology, Religious Studies, Religious Education and Social Studies – at Bachelor-, Master-, and Ph.D.-levels. We have 1150 students, 57 in the Ph.D.-program, and about 110 faculty and staff members. Ph.D. Research Fellowship within Biblical Studies
At MF a Ph.D. research fellowship within Biblical Studies is now available. The starting date for the fellowship is September 1st 2016.
The primary goal of the fellowship is the completion of a Ph.D. degree.
Salary
Salary will be in accordance with level 50 (code 1017/20.8) on the Norwegian government salary scale. In addition, research fellows will receive up to 20.000 NOK yearly for expenses attached to the project itself.
About the position
The research fellowship is awarded for a period of four years, provided progress is satisfactory. Mid-term evaluations of Ph.D. projects are compulsory. The research and educational part of the fellowship is 75 %, while the last 25 % is dedicated to teaching and/or other obligations at MF. An agreement concerning the actual work load must be made with the department at the time of employment.

Mandatory attachment: A presentation of the proposed project (5-10 pages) with a plan of progress, preliminary disposition of the thesis and relevant accompanying documents.
MF will also make use of interviews in the nomination process.
