What is Nutrition Winter School?
The Nutrition Winter School is a scientific seminar that revolves around various topics related to nutrition and the gut. This year's theme is Nutrition and Inflammation: Integrating research and clinics. The topics of nutrition and inflammation are discussed from a clinical, experimental, and molecular biological point of view by top international speakers.
The Nutrition Winter School is also about enjoying the magic of the Finnish Lapland! The seminar program is designed so that you have plenty of time to enjoy the great sceneries and outdoor activities offered by the arctic nature of Lapland.
The seminar combines a week of interesting talks given by top researchers in their field with the arctic sceneries of the Finnish Lapland.
When and Where?
The 4th Nutrition Winter School is organized in Levi in the Finnish Lapland.

The seminar takes place in January 2016 from 25th - 28th.

Registration fees
Early Bird: 400€ (prior to October 31st 2015)
Late registration: 500€ (October 31st - December 18th 2015)
The attendance fee includes the right to attend lectures, seminar material, social programme, lunches, coffee and dinners.

ECTS credits
Doctoral students can gain credits (ECTS) for attending the seminar according to their home university's guidelines. The following guidelines are applicable to doctoral students from the University of Helsinki:
Attending the seminar 0.5 Cr. / day
Oral presentation (1st or 2nd writer) 2 Cr.
Poster (1st or 2nd writer) 1 Cr.
Accommodation and Travel
Accommodation
We have reserved rooms from Spa Hotel Levitunturi for all seminar participants. Spa Hotel Levitunturi is a modern hotel and congress centre combining full facilities mixed with local flavour. Prices
Single, double, and three person rooms have been reserved for participants. Please note that the seminar attendance fee does not include the price of accommodation. Each guest is required to pay their own accommodation directly to the hotel upon leaving. Single room: 112€ / night
Double room: 60€ / night
Three person room: 52€ / night
Prices include a buffet breakfast, free use of the hotel gym, and a free daily admission to the hotel spa.
