Job summary

Globbing LLC is looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager who will be responsible for conducting online product search, purchasing and further relationship maintenance with vendors, sellers and suppliers

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Monitor order request queue and process new orders
  • Receive purchase orders submitted by customers and various departments of the company
  • Conduct purchase order analysis and review for correctness and completeness
  • Develop a list of purchasing orders by verifying item specifications, delivery dates and prices
  • Conduct online search activities to locate items mentioned in the purchasing orders list
  • If needed negotiate item price, packaging, shipping methods and other requirements
  • Monitor and expedite item delivery process to company warehouse
  • Submit list of purchased items to warehouse
  • Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered in cooperation with warehouse staff members
  • Develop professional relationship with vendors, sellers and suppliers
  • Review and verify received invoices
  • Compile, prepare and submit weekly reports to management
  • Interact with vendors, sellers and suppliers to ensure smooth timely delivery to warehouse
  • Interact with vendors, sellers and suppliers in cases of receipt of damaged, wrong or incorrect quantity of items
  • Ensure implementation of item return and refund receipt processes with vendors, sellers and suppliers
  • Maintain internal control system
  • Resolve problems related to all the possible aspects of purchasing

Job requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in an international company
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of internet purchasing principles
  • Knowledge of main internet vendors, sellers and suppliers purchasing requirements
  • Knowledge of international shipping, customs and tax requirements is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of English language, both written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of any other European language is a plus
  • Strong communication and decision making skills
  • Ability to act accordingly and proactively
