Responsibilities
- Participate in design and implementation of enterprise applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and ship new features
- Integrate with with 3rd party APIs and data sources
- Write unit tests for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability
- Work on bug fixes and improving existing application performance
- Understand and maintain complex Android app architecture
- Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable and reliable Java code
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and conduct app performance profiling
- Document the app business logic and usage principles
- Help maintain code quality, organization and automation
Requirements
- 2+ Year(s) of work experience in full-time mobile development
- Technologically savvy, curios, with a huge desire to learn and grow professionally
- Knowledge of Android SDK and other Android development tools
- General familiarity with RESTful APIs and networking capabilities of Android platform
- Familiarity with Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience in writing and publishing at least one Android app
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Familiarity with Google Play Developer Console and functionality
- Basic understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with Scrum methodology and Agile practices
- Strong logic and reasoning skills
- Strong team playing and collaboration skills
- Proactive, innovative and creative personality with can-do attitude
