JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Director of Partnerships, Public Policy and Events to build larger global formal partnerships and collaborations. The successful incumbent must possess the capacity to think strategically coupled with the abilities to excel operationally. The candidate for this role will be responsible for designing, developing, and curating programs, events, and strategic partnerships.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build larger global formal partnerships and collaborations;

  • Work with the executive management to research and identify best practices and supportive rules, regulations, procedures, and policies that provide favorable business, innovation, and research conditions;

  • Design and develop public policy agendas and strategies;

  • Develop and deliver breakthrough events and innovative partnerships;

  • Build access to markets, expertise, and funding through variety of events, e.g. forums, conferences, science fairs, etc.;

  • Foster relationships and select potential collaborators among other organizations and institutions, communities, and individuals nationally and internationally;

  • Use the Foundation’s community initiatives as a platform for establishing new partnerships;

  • Develop strategic partnerships in Armenia and overseas;

  • Use method driven approaches and processes to drive results through partnerships;

  • Coordinate the management of ongoing relationships with existing partners and where relevant, leverage those relationships to greater collective impact;

  • Establish KPIs and benchmarks, monitor and measure effectiveness;

  • Communicate effectively, on a regularly scheduled cadence, to ensure stakeholder alignment;

  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of pipeline, strategic partnerships and management activities;

  • Manage the overall creation and execution of events on budget, on time and on target;

  • Attend and manage on-the-ground events of importance to manage relationships, and to ensure flawless execution;

  • Improve engagements by driving the continual optimization of future events, strategies and plans;

  • Develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction and objectives of the Foundation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MA degree in Public Relations, Business Administration, Marketing or in a related field;

  • At least 5 years of experience in relevant industries;

  • Experience of working as part of a senior management team and leading organizational strategy is required;

  • Proven ability to negotiate and work with high level executives;

  • Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing partnerships over time;

  • Passion for event planning, execution, and measurement;

  • Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management;

  • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics;

  • Analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities;

  • Outstanding communication and negotiation ability;

  • Excellent relationship building skills;

  • Ability to make sound decisions without a lot of direction;

  • Strong attention to details, organizational planning, time management, and multitasking abilities;

  • Passion for public policy planning, execution, and measurement;

  • Excellent command of English, Armenian, and Russian, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
