3-4 positions (Doc / postdoc) in the ERC Project "Paratexts of the Bible"

limitation: The positions at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich are for a period of two years, starting from the                         earliest convenient date.

There is in principle the possibility of part-time employment.The Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) is one of the most renowned and largest universities in Germany.

Conditions

Applications are welcome both from doctoral and post-doctoral candidates. In the first case, the contract will be 65%, in the second approx. 80% (flexible).
Applicants should be highly qualified in the subjects of philology / ancient Greek, theology / church history, Byzantine studies, or ancient history. Very good knowledge of classical, biblical, or Byzantine Greek is required. The ability to work on a research team is essential.
For postdoctoral applicants a doctorate in a relevant field and experience in handling Greek manuscripts is required. Previous knowledge in the fields of critical text-editing, bible scholarship, Greek paleography, codicology, or digital humanities is a plus.
For (prospective) doctoral students, a successful completion of a master's degree, as well as a doctoral dissertation. If you are interested in co-advising as well as in other fields.
